Last night I read this piece while doing worship. I just puts it so well and straight forward. And for many of us this is such a big part of our lives. I wanted to share it with you all.
Commit your way to the Lord; trust in Him and He will do this. - Psalm 37:5-
The lives of scores of people prove that God does guide people. Every person sometimes experiences a bleak day when you want to question God's guidance. You should not think this way, because God does not ever stop guiding those who have entrusted their lives to Him unconditionally.
Guidance assumes an intimate and personal relationship. To enjoy God's guidance, you should live in close fellowship with Him. You must make time to be quiet in His presence so that you can hear His voice and be aware of the direction He wants you to take. You should lay your problems, your confusion and your wishes before Him in prayer regularly and faithfully. When you place God's will above your desires, you are practicing your faith. Face life with this type of faith every day and be sensitive and obedient in every step that God wants you to take.
"In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight" (Prov. 3:6). Initially, it will be difficult to adjust your will to God's will and your progress on His way will be slow. But gradually you will experience the inner conviction that you want to do the will of the Father and walk in His way joyfully. in this way you learn that it is God who gives you guidance.
You will walk in His way without fear, in obedience, and in the knowledge that He is the Guide and the Finisher of your faith.
Doing Your will is the highest joy of my life. Thank You, O Master, that You make me willing every day to follow obediently where You may lead. Amen.
